Terms of service.

Last updated July 20, 2026. Plain language on purpose: what you're agreeing to when you use Revtrail, what you own, what we owe you, and how billing works.

The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Revtrail ("we") covering your use of revtrail.pyln.dev and the Revtrail service. By creating an account you accept them. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

Accounts and workspaces

Keep your credentials safe: you're responsible for activity under your account. Workspace owners and admins control membership, billing, and site configuration for their workspace.

Plans, trials, and billing

Revtrail is a paid service — Starter and Growth, billed monthly through Stripe, each starting with one 14-day free trial per customer (card required; you're charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first). Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Cancel any time from Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and no further charges are made. Except where the law requires otherwise, charges are non-refundable — if you believe you were billed in error, email support@revtrail.dev and we'll make it right.

Event limits

Each plan includes a monthly event allowance. If you exceed it, your dashboards lock until you upgrade — but events keep recording and nothing is lost. We never silently drop your data.

Your data

You own your event data. We process it solely to provide the service (see the Privacy policy for exactly what is collected and where it lives). You can export your analytics as CSV at any time, and your data remains exportable for 30 days after cancellation, after which it may be deleted.

Your responsibilities

Only install the snippet on sites and apps you own or are authorized to measure. You're responsible for your own privacy disclosures to your visitors and for complying with the laws that apply to you. Don't send personal data (names, emails, and the like) in event names or payloads — the system is designed to work without it.

Acceptable use

No unlawful use, no attempts to re-identify visitors, no probing or disrupting the service, no reselling access without an agreement with us. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that threaten the integrity of the service, and will tell you when we do.

Service and changes

We ship improvements continuously and may change or retire features. The service is provided "as is" without warranties; these plans don't carry a formal SLA. The status page reflects availability and incidents.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Termination

You can stop using Revtrail and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, the 30-day export window in "Your data" applies.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Questions: support@revtrail.dev.
